American manufacturer Avago Technologies has introduced a new 5mm ultra-high brightness LED lamp, including HLMP-Ex1A, 1B-xxxDV, and HLMP-Ex3A, 3B-xxxDV, etc. The series is lead-free and RoHS-compliant. 6 standard requirements, and can support the European information variable traffic sign standard EN12966-1.
Among them, Avago's products supporting the 15 degree viewing angle of the variable traffic sign include HLMP-Ex1A and 1B-xxxDV, which have a minimum illumination intensity of 12,000 mcd. The products HLMP-Ex3A and 3B-xxxDV, which support the 30-degree viewing angle requirements, have a minimum illumination intensity of 5,500 mcd.
Avago's new 15- and 30-degree viewing angle LEDs are specifically designed for outdoor signage and signage applications. The exterior of these lamps is UV-resistant with UV-resistant epoxy to reduce the effects of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
Avago's new LED products are available in red and amber, and are currently in volume production and available in volume.
