Diodes Packaged MOSFET Saves 70% of Board Space

Diodes has introduced the first MOSFETs in its discrete product line of DFN3020 packages that help save space. The three dual MOSFET combinations include 20V and 30V N-channel and 30V complementary devices. The electrical performance of these dual DFN3020 MOSFETs is comparable to that of larger SOT23 devices and can replace two separate SOT23-packaged MOSFETs, saving 70% of board space.

The DFN3020 MOSFET family has a footprint of only 6 square millimeters and 0.8 mm off-board height, which is 40% lower than that of devices using SOT23 or TSOP-6 packages. It is suitable for use in space-constrained and compact consumer electronics products such as tablet PCs and netbooks. Load switch or boost converter circuit. This complementary DFN3020 MOSFET can also be used as a half bridge to drive motor loads in industrial applications.

With a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance (ROJA) of 83oC/W, these MOSFETs can maintain a high level of power dissipation of 2.4W continuously, and the operating temperature is also lower than that of SOT23-packaged MOSFETs, which helps improve reliability.

The ZXMN2AMC (dual 20V N-channel), ZXMN3AMC (dual 30V N-channel), and ZXMC3AMC (complementary 30V) DFN3020 package MOSFETs are available now.
