EnergyAustralia hopes to receive a small amount of quantitative quotation for LED luminaires that will be used for road lighting in the Australian Standard Category P4 and P5 regions. This market table only requires quotes for the purchase of lamps. EnergyAustralia will install and conduct internal street lighting tests.
The offer will end on Tuesday, December 21, 2010.
EnergyAustralia is Australia's largest energy supply company, providing safe and reliable power to more than 1.3 million consumers. It is a state-owned company that operates in New South Wales under a distribution and retail license.
EnergyAustralia was commissioned by 41 regional governments in the Central Coast and Hunter areas of Sydney, New South Wales to maintain a total of 250,000 baht of street lights. In the P4 and P5 areas, there are nearly 160,000 street lights.
Respondents should note that the streetlight standards for Australian residential roads (Australia/New Zealand 1158.3.1) and street lighting standards may vary from country to country. In particular, the minimum illumination luminosity that street lamps are to maintain is one-fifth of some international standards. The spacing between the lamps is larger than the standards in other regions.
Respondents should also be interested in the fact that most local governments in Australia and 14 other power distribution companies (which control nearly 2 million street lights) are very interested in LED street lighting technology.
