Initiated by the industry-based research and innovation alliance of Guangdong Semiconductor Lighting Engineering, the implementation unit of the benchmarking system, the participating units of the benchmarking system project signed a standard alliance with the relevant enterprises, and launched the alliance standard of benchmarking system management norm and benchmarking system. The streetlight products that participated in the benchmarking system evaluation for the first time all have their own unique design styles and technical realization methods, which show the diversity of products in the market. However, the study found that this diversity leads to a problem that cannot be ignored: because the standardization work of the basic parts of the product is not well carried out, whether it is the LED lighting product manufacturer, the user of the product, the power drive, the connecting device, the electrical accessory, Suppliers of parts and components such as machined parts are constantly circulating in the process of “specialized design – small batch production – product elimination – update and upgrade”, which wastes energy saved by LED lighting in production and design.

Therefore, based on the evaluation results, the project team put forward the viewpoint of “light source modularization, power supply standardization, and connection unification”, and the optimized design method and basic connection standard are solidified, so that each product can be re-designed independently. Reduce the cost of basic design. At present, the project team has substantially promoted the development of the alliance standard "Integrated Package (COB) LED Street Light", and has applied to the Quality Supervision Department for the establishment of the local standard of Guangdong Province, which will become the first integrated package in the country ( COB) LED street light landmark.

Through the implementation of the benchmark system, the product evaluation results of different technical routes are compared horizontally to study the common characteristics of different lighting applications and system solutions, and form an alliance standard, which is more suitable for the standardization of emerging industries with rapid development of technology. New ideas and new methods will help to achieve standardization research and technology synchronization, which has a huge impetus to the improvement of the entire industry.
