The legal person expects that in 2013, the mainland will become the main battlefield of Taiwan's sapphire substrate factory.
For the recent market conditions of sapphire substrates, the manufacturer said that the LED chip factory is destocking in December, and the cargo situation is slightly down. Therefore, December should be a relatively low point. After the customer inventory drops to a low water level, January 2013 It is expected to start to replenish stocks. Zhaoyuan
Zhao Zhiqiang, general manager of Zhaoyuan, said that the investment company Shandong Yuanhong Optoelectronics Equipment has been stationed in the third quarter of this year. The total monthly production capacity can reach 10~120,000 pieces. Currently, the monthly production capacity is about 50,000 pieces. It is based on a 2-inch sapphire substrate.
Xinjing drill
Xinjing Diamond actively sought out the location of the factory in mainland China last year, but it is still in the evaluation stage. At present, it only establishes a trading company in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu, and serves customers nearby. A spokesperson for Xinjing Diamond said that the location of the plant is still being sought, mainly considering two conditions: electricity price and preferential conditions of local governments.
Xinjing drill pointed out that the sapphire substrate uses a large amount of electricity, so the impact of the price of electricity on the cost is not small; in addition, the supply chain near the plant site is also considered. Xinjing Drill said that as far as the current situation is concerned, if the sapphire substrate factory is to be set up, the company's current sapphire crystal rods are not self-sufficient and need to be outsourced, so it is also looking for a suitable ingot supply plant. It is understood that Xinjing drill internal planning will expand the equipment with the capacity of 150,000 substrates per month.
Jingmei
Jingmei is currently the largest Taiwan-based substrate plant in the mainland. Jiangsu Yancheng Plant has been officially put into operation in late October this year. The initial production capacity is about 200,000 pieces. It is understood that Jingmei Jiangsu Yancheng Plant has a capacity of up to 2 million per month. The film will be expanded according to the market demand situation.
