The RTR bit of the remote frame is recessive

Remote frame

Typically, data transfer is done autonomously by a data source node (for example, a sensor sends a data frame). However, there may be cases where the target node requests the source node to send data. To do this, the target node needs to send a remote frame with the identifier matching the identifier of the desired data frame. The corresponding data source node then sends a data frame in response to the remote frame request. There are two differences between remote frames and data frames:

1) The RTR bit of the remote frame is recessive;

2) The remote frame has no data fields.

When a data frame with the same identifier and a remote frame are sent simultaneously, the data frame will win arbitration because the RTR bit following its identifier is dominant. This allows the node that sent the remote frame to immediately receive the required data.

Error frame

The error frame is generated by any node that detects a bus error. The error frame contains two fields: the error flag field followed by the error delimitation field. There are two types of error flag fields. Which type of error flag field the node sends, depending on the error status of the node that detected the error and generated the error flag field.

Active error

When the wrong active node detects a bus error, the node will generate an active error flag to interrupt the current message transmission. The active error flag consists of 6 consecutive dominant bits. This bit sequence actively breaks the bit stuffing rules. After all other nodes recognize the generated bit stuffing error, they will generate an error frame, called the error reflection flag. The error flag field therefore contains 6 to 12 consecutive dominant bits (generated by 1 or more nodes). The error delimited field (8 recessive bits) marks the error frame with a period. After the error frame is sent, the bus actively returns to the normal state, and the interrupted node attempts to resend the aborted message.

Passive error

When the error passive node detects a bus error, the node will send a passive error flag followed by the error delimitation field. The error passive flag consists of 6 consecutive recessive bits, while the error passive node sends an error frame containing 14 recessive bits. It can be seen that unless the bus error is detected by the wrong active node or the node that is transmitting the message, the message will continue to be sent because the error passive flag will not affect the bus operation. If the sending node generates an error passive flag, then the bit filling rule is broken, causing other nodes to generate an error frame. After the error frame is sent, the error passive node must wait for 6 consecutive recessive bits on the bus before attempting to re-participate in the bus communication. The error delimiter consists of 8 recessive bits that allow the bus node to restart bus communication after an error has occurred.

CBD Pod System

A new rule from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) threatens to upend the American hemp industry, and could even result in criminal prosecutions for manufacturers of CBD and delta-8 THC products.

The DEA says the [interim final rule," issued Aug. 20, is simply a matter of adjusting its own regulations to account for changes to the Controlled Substances Act that were mandated by the 2018 Farm Bill (or Agricultural Improvement Act) that legalized hemp and CBD production. The new rule [merely conforms DEA`s regulations to the statutory amendments to the CSA that have already taken effect," says the agency. The new rule doesn`t break any ground, according to the DEA.

But many experts on cannabis and hemp law say the DEA rule creates a potential pathway the law enforcement agency could use to prosecute hemp processors and producers of CBD (cannabidiol) and delta-8 THC (or Δ8THC) products. There are two issues: partially processed CBD, and [synthetically derived" delta-8 THC.
