500,000 GE Imaging Devices to Adopt NVIDIA Artificial Intelligence Platform

Recently, NVIDIA, a leader in visual computing technology, has collaborated with GE Healthcare, a provider of global healthcare solutions, and Nuance, a communications company, to bring artificial intelligence (AI) into the medical imaging field.

NVIDIA announced this collaboration at the North American Radiological Society (RSNA) annual meeting. The RSNA annual conference was held in Chicago. More than 50,000 professionals attended the conference this year.

The collaboration with GE Healthcare will advance the adoption of NVIDIA artificial intelligence computing platforms in GE Healthcare's 500,000 imaging devices worldwide. The two parties will cooperate to launch Revolution Frontier CT, which is powered by NVIDIA.

Compared to the previous generation, its speed in image processing has doubled. NVIDIA will also support GE Healthcare's application intelligence analysis platform to accelerate the creation, deployment, and consumption of deep learning algorithms to meet the needs of future medical instruments.

Nuance Creates AI Market for Diagnostic Imaging

NVIDIA collaborated with Nuance, a provider of intelligent speech and speech solutions, to enable machine learning to be used by radiologists and data scientists throughout the healthcare system.

Nuance also announced its new AI Marketplace for diagnostic imaging based on NVIDIA's deep learning platform.

Kimberly Powell, vice president of NVIDIA Healthcare, said she expects to provide multiple algorithmic consistency through one-time testing to provide a single diagnosis. This vision needs to be achieved by making it easier for medical professionals to coordinate the use of multiple systems.
