Agilent Announces Beidou GNSS Satellite Signal Simulation Options

Agilent announced that its Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Signal Studio software now provides more enhancements, while also adding real-time multi-satellite simulation capabilities to support the Beidou satellite system in mainland China.

Zhang Zhiming, general manager of the Agilent Technologies Electronic Measurement Business Group in Taiwan, said that the deployment of the Beidou satellite system in mainland China has far exceeded the Galileo satellite system in Europe. However, the Beidou satellite system also faces the same test challenges as Galileo, especially It is a receiver test. To continue to promote system deployment and launch more receivers for mobile consumer devices, the industry urgently needs to overcome these challenges. Agilent Signal Studio's software enhancements provide users with the real-time functions that users need to easily simulate Beidou signals and generate specific Beidou satellite scenarios, so that these looming problems can be solved.

Option WFP is an important enhancement of Agilent N7609B Signal Studio software, which provides real-time simulation capabilities of Beidou B1I satellite signals, which are indispensable in product development. R & D engineers can also simulate stationary or moving receivers, and use the scenario generation function to create and edit custom scenarios.

Option WFP can be used with the Agilent N5172B EXG or N5182B MXG X-series signal generators, and soon will be used for the Agilent N5106A PXB fundamental frequency generator and channel simulator.
