On August 30th, two sets of Jiuquan developed by China Xidian-Hunan ±800kV UHV DC transmission project Jiuquan Station ZZDFPZ-412300/750-400 converter transformer passed all tests at one time, and all performance indicators met or exceeded the country. The requirements of standards and technical agreements have reached the international leading level. This marks the successful development of the 750kV, the largest domestically produced converter transformer on the grid side in China.
Jiuquan-Hunan ±800 kV UHV DC transmission project is based on the development of Jiuquan Wind Power Base and the rapid growth of Hunan's electricity load. It promotes the development of clean energy, optimizes the coal development pattern, and transforms resource advantages into economic advantages. It is of great significance to promote a low-carbon economy and implement a national energy strategy.
In August 2015, China Xidian won the bid for 7 sets of ±400kV converter transformers and 7 sets of ±200kV converter transformers for the national grid Jiuquan-Hunan ±800kV UHV DC transmission project. These products are the 750kV and ±400kV (±200kV) voltage-class converter transformers on the grid side that Xidian first accepted. It is also the converter transformer with the largest domestic capacity.

It will be the main voltage level of China's DC transmission system in the future, especially the network side access 750kV AC system. The technology will be widely used in the subsequent ±800kV DC transmission project and ±1100kV DC transmission project, and has broad market prospects.
