The RD-401 optimizes PCB layout, current sampling circuitry, and current sampling algorithms to successfully solve the designer's challenges in transitioning to BLDC designs. The solution uses the FCM8531 controller to support a variety of different reference designs and an integrated development environment - the Motor Control Development System (MCDS), which includes three drive modes.
