The prototype of "CIBN Education"

At the beginning of Internet TV, there were many value-added services in addition to basic video services on the TV, including games and education. “Big screens have bigger screens than PCs, and they have better viewing results and experience. These services will develop in the future on the TV side, and many online schools have emerged in the past, so no matter whether it is the pre-judgment from the development of the industry, Looking at the status quo at the time of the education industry, we all feel that education can be done and that it is positioned in interactive education, said Yang Dawei, head of CIBN Education.

At the beginning of Internet TV in 2011 and 2012, education did not work well. At that time, the industry was just starting up. The coverage of TVs and set-top boxes for Internet TV was not very high, so the number of users was small. In addition, the large-screen education at that time only directly copied some classrooms and courses in reality. Because the content quality was not very good, there were fewer users who used Internet TV education content. "These are the problems that CIBN education has just begun to encounter."

Six years and three years of development of "CIBN education"

(a) The first stage: 2011-2012

The first stage, which is also the beginning stage of “CIBN Education”, has just started to develop. This stage of education is done by video. At that time, the platform was not producing content and could only cooperate with the agencies. “We cooperate with some large educational institutions to negotiate cooperation. If the other party has teaching content suitable for large-screen broadcasting, we hope that they will give us the video; if not, I hope that the other party can develop and record some courses for the TV.”

In 2011 and 2012, China’s educational institutions were 80% offline and 20% online. The educational institutions under the line are about a dozen or a hundred people in one class. They can register and pay for the money. When the money arrives, they can go to class and the cash flow is mostly abundant. In the research and development of the new curriculum, most organizations have not yet focused their efforts on the big screen.

(II) The second phase: 2013-2015

Around 2014, mobile internet accelerated its development. Institutions take the mobile education as an entry point to form two kinds of situations. One situation is that after a simple change or R&D, mobile products are moved to television in the form of applications. exist. At this time, the difference between the TV and the mobile is only the size of the screen. Background technology development is generally the same. But this will be better than the previous form, it has a certain degree of interactivity; the other situation is that there are some organizations that have products developed on the mobile terminal. When doing the TV, it will be in the design of the content, function, and product interface. Optimization goes up one level. In that time period, CIBN Education shifted more of its focus from video translation to application introduction. However, hundreds of applications are incoherent and their applications cover only proprietary areas. There are applications that are big and complete. "Basically, I want to be a toddler. I want to do basic education is basic education, so it is still messy and unstructured."

In the second phase, “CIBN Education” has undergone a preliminary change, from the direct copy of video to the development of research and development. At the same time, it has also formed the prototype of the first educational intelligent terminal. Listing is beneficial. However, CIBN education has encountered difficulties when the industry has just emerged and users are still unfamiliar with education on the big screen or smart terminals. Yang Dawei said frankly: “We collaborated with an early childhood education institution in 2013 to plan a box for kindergartens. At that time, we finished all the product demos. (III) The third stage: 2015 to date

From 2011, there were only one or two smart TVs. By 2016, more than 60% of all smart TVs were Internet TV. This industry has developed, and many organizations have been invited by IPTV, Internet TV, and cable TV to cooperate in this process. The realization of the contents allowed them to taste the sweetness and make them have a certain change in this area. Among them, some institutions with forward-looking consciousness hope to provide their own users with a platform. In these four or five years, the industry is mature and domestic users have a certain usage habit. At this time, many organizations are willing to even talk about themselves. Cooperation, then "CIBN education" has accumulated a lot, focusing on the development of interactive education products and smart terminals.

When talking about the development of the first intelligent terminal for Chinese studies education and intelligent terminal for vocational education, Yang Dawei said: “We have thrown out our own model and the two parties have optimized it. The first intelligent terminal based on this situation is CIBN|Tongsong Children's Intelligence Terminal. Its positioning is mainly in the younger ages of kindergartens and elementary schools. Yang Dawei stressed that "CIBN Education" positioning is interactive, and interaction is a trend, such as factors from the macro industry factors, the factors from the terminal penetration rate, as well as factors from the user's usage habits and others. These factors make the industry slowly mature and gradually merge.
