Bandai Nanmeng Palace's famous fighting game "Tekken 7" will soon land on the PS4/Xbox One/PC multi-platform in June 2017 and will support Chinese and VR. This should be the first major VR game.
Sony recently announced that the "Tekken 7" home console will be released on June 1, 2017, and will support PSVR head display, which also allows players to see a trace of playing "Tekken 7" VR version with Oculus Rift or HTC Vive Dawn, unfortunately, at present, this expectation seems to be lost.
"Tekken 7" producer Harada Harada has also confirmed that the VR version of "Tekken 7" will be exclusively for PSVR, and will not create a PC-side VR version. A player stated on Twitter that the PS4 version of "Tekken 7" could not achieve the 4K effect of the PC version and thought it was a disrespect to PS fans. Harada Hiroshi relayed the player’s tweet and commented that “isn’t PS4’s exclusive VR version of “Tekken 7†equal to not respecting computers?â€.
Pre-order Steam to unlock this role
This will mean that when the "Tekken 7" Home PC & PC version is released mid-year, only the PSVR headphone can support the VR version. This decision is not surprising. After all, another VR game, Summer Lesson, produced by the Harada Haruo team was exclusive to PSVR.
At present, we do not know how the producer will combine "Tekken 7" with VR. The Bandai Nangong dream said earlier that it would not turn the game into a first-person game, which made the old “Tekken†series a relief. If we follow the game's traditional third-person perspective, we easily want to see the player as the audience immersed in the world of the game screen - as if fighting monsters stood in front of you. Or, "Tekken 7" will emulate "Tomb Raider: The Rise" and "Star Wars: Frontline" to add extra story to the VR version.
